EnhanceFitness
What is EnhanceFitness?
EnhanceFitness is a group exercise program designed specifically for healthy older adults or those managing a chronic condition. The one-hour classes are held three times per week.
EnhanceFitness was developed through research done by Senior Services of Seattle and is managed nationally by ProjectEnhance. Results of the research conducted on EnhanceFitness earned the program the “evidence-based” title. It allows participants to get predictably positive results if they attend regularly.

Each program is taught by a nationally certified fitness instructor and incorporates personal training principles.
What Subjects Are Covered?
EnhanceFitness is a multicomponent class that includes:
- Stretching
- Flexibility
- Balance
- Low Impact Aerobics
- Strength Training Exercises
Participants follow their progress with fitness checks performed at the first class and again at four months.
